Google Analytics是一個分析工具, 您可以收集從網站、手機甚至是遊戲台、POS機等所有數位裝置的資料, 從Google Analytics報表, 看到各種與網站經營相關的數字, 其功能與特點如下:

 

1. 可以分析自己和競爭對手的網站

2. 可以分析網站「值」與「量」的資料

3. 透過長期的紀錄, 提供網站不斷進步的依據

4. 從既有客戶和潛力客戶的紀錄, 推估公司或組織期待的產出目標(包括線上和線下)

 

各行各業中的網站經營從業人員, 到底要制定何種績效標準(KPI), 才能反映出公司經營網站的績效呢? Google建議, 網站必須要先審視公司的商業目標(business objectives or outcomes), 根據不同的商業目標向下制定網站績效目標,

例如:

 

1. 電子商務網站: 目標是銷售服務和產品

2. 業績前導網站: 讓使用者能很快留下資料, 以便讓業務團隊取得聯繫

3. 內容型網站: 鼓勵訪客經常閱讀與回流

4. 客服網站: 讓使用者很快找到他們需要的資料

5. 品牌網站: 提高品牌的知名度及忠誠度
